"Ohropax" is strange: In the beginning it was just a get-together to simply try
out "a few things". Two guitar player and a newly drummer got together to have
fun testing and playing rhythms and riffs. As this meeting became more
regular, a bassist joined, and finally also a keyboarder. Everyone was from
the circle of acquaintances with the intention to see "what's up".
There was no intention of playing anywhere outside of the meetings. And yet it
turned out that these people then played their four songs at a festival. It
wasn't much, but these songs still garnered attention and encouragement. And
it was the audience that solemnly bestowed the highly ambiguous name "Ohropax" at
this gig. From here on they were a "band" called "Ohropax".

After a while they even recorded their songs and put them on tape. The strangely
naive drawings of the tape cover seem almost iconic today. They stand for
the equally naive approach and compilation of songs that could be heard on the tape.
Also two songs from the Will Collatz project made it on this tape. Here,
too, these were composed and recorded with the simplest means.
Today HC says: "It sounded spectacular to us at that time, because it
was we who suddenly created songs".

There are hardly any recordings of the old Ohropax songs today, but we were able to dig up "Second". The song "Questions" is the result of the project WCP, which was recorded with an analogue drum machine on a 4-track tape machine.
