Windghost: First
1987, 13 songs
This tape is the first compilation of the studio-project "Windghost". The name results from a historical top of a mountain in Norderstedt. This top was marked by a wooden haunting monument which could be seen from many kilometres distance.
One characteristic of "Windghost" was the participation of many musicians. Everyone who had motivation and time contributed in his own way to the songs on this tape.
Windghost: The Miracle
1987, 11 songs
The second compilation of the "Windghost" project is wrapped in a blue cover with a simple painting.
In the booklet you can read: When listening to "Stranger" or "Windghost" first lean back comfortably, close your eyes and relax; let your imagination flow.
Remarkable: Stefan plays also drums, the special Matthias makes the synth sound, Dirk can't be stopped when playing table tennis, and so he added percussions to the rhythm.
Windghost:
Underground Scene
1987, 13 songs
This tape sums up those songs which are darker and stand aloof - and so the songs are most prententious.
In the booklet you can read: "The sound is not mono compatible. You can only enjoy it, if you listen stereo; sometimes headphones reveal the most authentic impressions."
If you look at this cover you'll get an idea of where the songs will guide you.
Windghost:
No Dreams any more
1988, 10 songs
The cover of this tape is constructed solely by Stephan. In total ten persons were involved in creating the songs of this tape.
"Midnight on Jupiter" describes the romantic mood that overwhelmes everybody who faces the backside of Jupiter.
Windghost:
Drifting on a Note
March 1989, 13 songs
The 5th album since the foundation of Windghost Project should have been finished a few month earlier together with album no. 4; but - in order to obtain highest quality of sound and performance - it took more time than expected.
In the booklet you can read:
So take place in a rocking chair, relax and enjoy. Imagine the situation of drifting on a small planet through the infinity of space and thus bringing out the spirit of this music. It is interrupted for a few minutes by a little shower of meteorites only.
Windghost:
Can you tell me what it is
March 1989, 10 songs
The particularity of this album is not the music. It is just the fact that a hint will be given revealing the answer to all your questions and problems, you know: 42!
You will hear where you can experience the story of the universe, here on earth. Of course, if you were born on mars you won't have the chance to find this significant place.
Besides that, if you wanna enjoy the songs on this album - it is the 6th Windghost record - you should consider the necessity of Hifi equipment and an adequate volume level.
Windghost:
Forever in a Dream
August 1989, 11 songs
"The old House on Windghost Hill" is the place where many people feel a somewhat magic aura, a haunting cultural magnetism. According to the delivery centuries ago many rituals and sacrifices have been celebrated. It is a holy area still.
Today strange and horrible shadows can be seen there. Not only at midnight the absolute silence interrupted by the uncanny noise of the wind flowing through the blades of the grasses drives people crazy.
Executive Producer: Alfonso Hitec.
Windghost:
The Story of Windghost
1990, 9 songs
This tape is a compilation of the seven tapes of windghost in the past three years. All the best songs are gathered on this tape. But there's one exception:
"One Summerday" is a new song. And it is one of the few instrumentals expressing the mood of a hot long fantastic day.
